Yes. bnr17.my is run by Medibeu Sdn. Bhd., the sole authorised Malaysian distributor of AceBiome. AceBiome is the Seoul company that discovered, patented and still makes Lactobacillus gasseri BNR17®.

Every box comes straight from AceBiome. It is flown in from Seoul, never sea-shipped, and kept in climate-controlled storage until it goes out to you. If a box ever arrives with a broken seal, please don’t take it. Send us a photo and we will replace it.

BNRThin Slim+ is made by AceBiome in Seoul, the same company behind the BNR17® products sold in Korea, including at Olive Young. More than 20 million boxes have been sold.

The Malaysian product is the green-apple powder sachet with 10 billion CFU of BNR17 per sachet, the same daily amount used in the 12-week clinical trial.

We can only stand behind boxes bought from us or our partner pharmacies and clinics. Jastip and marketplace stock may be real, but you can’t see how it was shipped or stored. Probiotics are live bacteria, and heat during sea freight or in a hot car can lower the count.

Our stock is airfreighted from Seoul, never sea-shipped, kept in climate-controlled storage, and guaranteed at 10 billion CFU to the expiry date. Boxes bought from other sellers are not covered by our buyer protection.

BNR17® is one specific strain of Lactobacillus gasseri, a probiotic bacteria. It was isolated from human breast milk in 2006 and is now patented in 10 countries. It has been studied in four human clinical trials.

The strain name matters. Other L. gasseri strains have not been tested the same way, so results from BNR17 studies do not carry over to them.

Yes. The main study was a 12-week randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial at Seoul National University Hospital. Adults who took 10 billion CFU of BNR17 a day, the amount in one sachet, finished with 21.6 cm² less visceral fat than the placebo group. This was measured by CT scan.

In 2017, BNR17 became the first probiotic in South Korea to be individually recognised by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for reducing visceral fat. You can read the study details and its limits on our Science page. Individual results may vary.

Probably not much on the scale, and we would rather tell you that upfront. In the trials, body weight did not differ significantly from placebo. The changes were in visceral fat, the fat around your organs, and in waist and hip measurements.

So track your waist with a measuring tape, not just your weight. BNRThin Slim+ works alongside a balanced diet and regular activity, not instead of them. Individual results may vary.

TOFI means “thin outside, fat inside”. It describes people with a normal weight or BMI who still carry a lot of visceral fat around their organs. It’s common in Asia, and you can’t see it in the mirror.

It isn’t a capsule. It’s a powder sachet, and you take one a day.

Tear the sachet open and tip the powder straight onto your tongue. It melts in about 15 seconds and has a light green-apple taste. No water needed. It is made to be taken directly, so please don’t mix it into drinks.

One box has 14 sachets, which lasts two weeks. The human trials ran for 12 weeks, which works out to six boxes.

Each 2 g sachet has 10 billion CFU of Lactobacillus gasseri BNR17®, vitamin D 10 mcg and zinc 2.55 mg, with prebiotic fibres, in a green-apple powder. It’s about 5 kcal.

There are no stimulants, no laxatives and no added sugar. It does contain lactose.

Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist first if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, taking medication, or have a medical condition. Each sachet contains lactose, so keep that in mind if lactose doesn’t agree with you.

Don’t take more than one sachet a day. If you feel unwell after taking it, stop and see a doctor.

No. Each sachet is stable at room temperature, and 10 billion CFU is guaranteed up to the expiry date. Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Delivery is free for orders above RM100, anywhere in Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak. We ship with DHL eCommerce and parcels usually arrive within 1 to 3 days.

Public holidays, weather and courier delays can add a little time. If your parcel seems late, message us and we will trace it.

We accept QR payment, credit and debit cards, Touch ‘n Go eWallet and GrabPay. Payments go through Payex, our payment provider, so we never see or store your full card details. Payment is taken in full when you place your order.

We email you tracking updates once your parcel is dispatched. You can also check it on our Track Your Order page, or by logging in to your account.

If your parcel arrives damaged, wrong, incomplete, or with less than 3 months to expiry, tell us within 7 days of delivery. We will replace it or refund you, at no cost to you.

For anything else, such as ordering the wrong pack size, the box must be unopened and we review it case by case. Because this is a food supplement, we can’t take back opened boxes, and we don’t offer a money-back guarantee on results. You can cancel for a full refund any time before your order is dispatched.
